Download JANO Field to your iOS device

Search "JANO Field" on the App Store and tap Download. Sign in with your Apple ID to start the 14-day free trial. No credit card required.

Which devices run JANO Field?

Yes, JANO Field works offline-first.

Yes—every core feature works offline. iCloud sync is optional. No signal? The app keeps working. Sync resumes automatically when you return to range.

How do I sign in?

Sign in with Apple is default; we store no usernames or passwords. Enterprise SSO access requires contact. sales@jano.field.

Why JANO Field needs specific permissions

Each permission unlocks a specific field capability.

You control every permission. The app keeps running even if you deny access. We never share sensitive data with anyone.

Why does JANO Field require background location?

Background location tracking runs constantly lone-worker check-ins and geofenced safety zonesIf you do not need those features, choose While Using the App. JANO Field runs perfectly without Always location access.

Can AI features be disabled?

Yes. Go to Settings → AI → Disable Cloud AI. Turning cloud AI off keeps data local. Features like RFI drafting, field-note structuring, and AR translation work best when cloud AI is active.

Sync & data

Where is my data stored?

Data lives locally in encrypted Core Data. iCloud sync replicates via Apple's CloudKit under your Apple ID. No separate backend—your data stays within Apple's ecosystem.

Why won't my data sync?

Three common causes:

  1. iCloud not signed in Settings → tap your name → turn on iCloud Drive.
  2. iCloud storage full Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
  3. Jobsite Wi-Fi blocks JANO Field. Use offline-first mode. Check cellular signal instantly.

If these steps fail, contact JANO support. support@jano.field with your latest successful sync time.

How do I export my data?

Settings → Data → Export. Choose JSON for a full export or PDF for a per-project narrative. Both formats arrive signed and timestamped.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Data → Delete All. iCloud sync pushes removals to every device instantly.

Delete your account now.

Email support@jano.field Include "Delete account" in the subject line. We process requests within 30 days. If using iCloud sync, remove JANO Field via Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

AI features

Does JANO Field use your data to train AI?

No. JANO uses Anthropic Claude for AI. Per their terms, your content is not used to train models. We do not retain prompts on our side.

Why did the AI generate incorrect data?

AI drafts in JANO Field; humans decide. Always review every AI RFI, daily report, or compliance answer before sending. The licensed professional retains final responsibility.

Found a persistent issue? Send input and output via Settings → Send Feedback. We tune prompts continuously.

How precise is the AR translator?

Bright, printed text reads clearly in daylight. Weathered signs with peeling paint, poor contrast, or strange fonts drop accuracy. The app displays a confidence score; treat low scores as a starting point, not final truth.

Procore integration

Connect JANO to Procore instantly

Settings → Integrations → Procore → Connect. You’ll redirect to Procore’s OAuth login. Approve JANO Field to go live instantly.

Why does the Procore link drop?

  1. Slow jobsite Wi-Fi — try cellular.
  2. Enterprise SSO via Okta and Azure Your IT team must whitelist *.jano.field and *.procore.com redirect URIs.
  3. Missing Procore admin access Your Procore admin must approve the integration on their side.

What does the integration do?

JANO Field never imports Procore docs. Procore stays the system of record.

Privacy & compliance

Is JANO Field HIPAA compliant?

JANO Field is a toolNot a HIPAA-certified platform. Apple does not certify HIPAA compliance for any iOS app. The licensed professional using the app remains responsible for compliance decisions.

Is JANO Field OSHA, ACI, ADA, and IBC certified?

No certifying bodies validate these apps. JANO Field templates and calculators align with Meets OSHA 1926, ACI 301/318, ADA, IBC, NFPA, and related standards. Licensed professionals retain final compliance responsibility.

What data does the AR translator send to the cloud?

By default, OCR text goes to Anthropic Claude for translation. Camera frames stay on-device. Disable cloud translation in Settings → AI → Disable Cloud AI to revert to full on-device processing.

What’s NSPrivacyAccessedAPI in your privacy manifest?

Apple requires apps to declare use of specific APIs like file timestamps, boot time, disk space, and private UserDefaults. We use these for file backups, performance metrics, low-storage alerts, and reading our own settings. The full declaration is in our PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy file.

Troubleshooting

App crashes on launch

  1. Settings → JANO Field → Diagnostics → Submit latest crash report
  2. Force-quit + relaunch.
  3. If problems continue, report them straight away. support@jano.field Track iPhone model, iOS version, and app version.
  4. Cache data offline as a temporary workaround.

Apple Watch doesn't show JANO Field

  1. Open the App Store, search JANO Field, and install.
  2. Unlock your Watch and enable Bluetooth.
  3. If the problem continues, force-quit the Watch app on iPhone and relaunch.

LiDAR scan won’t start

LiDAR runs natively on iPhone Pro and iPad Pro. If you own one, you're ready.

  1. Settings > JANO Field > Camera > Enable
  2. Ensure LiDAR isn't throttled by low-power mode.
  3. Try in brighter light; dim rooms lower capture quality.

Lightning alert failed to fire

  1. Settings → JANO Field → Notifications → enable them.
  2. Settings > JANO Field > Location > set to Always for background alerts.
  3. WeatherKit data has 5–15 minute latency in some regions; alerts may miss fast-moving storms.
